Artists near water
Roger McFarlane
The australian sculptor came to "Artists near water Vättis 2017" with a bronze spout from his own workshop in Newcastle (AUS) und in Vättis worked on a slab of granit during three weeks. Both parts together replaced the worn down plain wooden fountain post at Wasen in the village.
Meant as hidden art, the artist did not want his sculpture placed in the main square. The dragon motif of the spout refers to the coat of arms of Vättis.
